Marketplace Equipment Returns & Refund Policy

Last updated: 8 September 2026

Equipment Hub operates a global commercial marketplace connecting prospective machinery buyers with verified independent sellers, fleet operators, and equipment owners. Because heavy industrial machinery, construction plant, and mining assets involve bespoke transportation, mechanical inspections, and substantial freight commitments, equipment sales and rentals are subject to the commercial arrangements established between the buyer and the seller.

1. Buyer & Seller Arrangement

When acquiring or leasing equipment listed on the Equipment Hub marketplace, the specific return window, warranty conditions, and refund terms are agreed upon as part of the formal quote acceptance and purchase agreement between the buyer and the seller.

  • Direct Seller Policy: Each seller may specify finite return windows (typically up to 14 days from handover) or sell assets under inspection-accepted terms.
  • Binding Quotes: All finalized terms, including any applicable return period or restocking provisions, are documented on the accepted purchase order or proforma invoice.

2. Inspection Verification & Acceptance

We strongly encourage every buyer to utilize certified pre-purchase inspection reports available on Equipment Hub or arrange an independent physical inspection prior to equipment release or freight dispatch.

Discrepancy Reporting Window

If an asset arrives with material defects or mechanical discrepancies that deviate significantly from the certified inspection report or documented specification, the buyer must notify both the seller and Equipment Hub within 48 hours of physical delivery prior to deploying the equipment into service.

3. Transportation, Freight & Return Logistics

In the event of an agreed return or replacement:

  • •Logistical Costs: Return haulage, shipping, insurance, and import/export customs clearance are the responsibility of the party designated in the purchase agreement.
  • •Hub Collection / Return in Store: Where collection was arranged from a verified Equipment Hub storage yard or depot, returns must be coordinated for redelivery to the designated hub location in original handover condition.

4. Dispute Resolution & Support

Equipment Hub provides dedicated transaction support and dispute mediation between buyers and sellers to ensure fair and swift resolution of any condition, title, or logistics issues.
